About My Skin: I am skincare focused
I have combination sensitive skin, which means that it’s dry in some parts, oily in others, and at times can react to skincare products if they are too strong or have a lot of fragrance. I take my skincare routine pretty seriously, so I am always focusing on anti-aging, hydration, and texture to name a few. I use 2-3 products in the morning and night, and I’m never found without sunscreen. Some brands of skincare that I consistently use are Skinceuticals, Biologique Recherche, and Alastin.
How To Apply: Pat and massage onto face
You might think that moisturizer is fairly easy to apply, and you’re correct. If you’ve layered some products before finishing with this moisturizer, you will want to dispense about a dime-sized amount into your hands and rub them together and then lightly pat it on the face.
This product is so easy to use, you don’t have to think twice about incorporating it into your daily skincare routine.
You can also rub it, but it’s important to make sure all other skincare has absorbed and dried first. No matter how many products you use, if you apply them too close together, pilling can happen. You can apply Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer all over the face or just in areas where you feel you need extra hydration.
The Results: A very nice, hydrated outcome
The first few things I noticed about this moisturizer right away were that there wasn’t any kind of strong fragrance (which I prefer) and the texture of the moisturizer was lightweight enough, that it didn’t feel greasy or heavy. Perfect to layer with serums, sunscreen, and more. This moisturizer uses ceramides and niacinamide to repair and protect your skin’s barrier, and I loved the way it immediately absorbed into my face.
My skin felt light, soft, and the finish was a tad matte, which worked really well with applying makeup as my next step.
My skin felt great continuously throughout the day, and I also used this moisturizer at night with stronger anti-aging products and it kept my skin nourished and I glowed upon waking the next morning. I was most impressed that no matter what I was using or wearing, La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer held up to its promise of immediately restoring the feeling of skin comfort.
The Value: Budget-friendly
For an oil-free moisturizer that helps restore the skin barrier, replenishes moisture for up to 48 hours, works well with other products, feels light and comfortable on the skin, the value of the product almost feels too good to be true. For everything you get at a very budget-friendly price point, it’s well worth the cost to purchase and add to your daily skincare regimen.
