Ourself
As much as I identify as an all-things-holistic, face-oil-and-go type of person, there’s something about filler that has a hold on me. Seriously, the stuff is like a siren call. “I don’t want to get anything done, ever” I think to myself. Five minutes later I’m googling “medspa near me.”
The good news? There’s a beauty brand that might have what it takes to quell my interest. “Cover your ears” says Ourself. “We’ll lead you through these dangerous, TikTok before-and-after infested waters. And you won’t even need to leave your skincare cabinet.”
New-ish to the market, Ourself utilizes biotechnic technology to deliver “clinical level results without invasive procedures.” Last July, we reviewed their topical, no-needles-necessary Lip Filler ($145) and were impressed. Now, the brand’s small but mighty “un-jection system” has a new offering: HA+ Replenishing Eye Serum ($220).
Here’s everything you need to know about Ourself’s “eye lift in a bottle,” including my honest review.
The Inspiration
Having already tackled the lips, face, and décolleté, eyes were the obvious next stop in Ourself’s filler-verse takeover. Unlike other topical serums, their trademarked Subtopical Firming Technology promises to deliver product deeper into the skin for a more visible impact.
“Lipid-rich multiphasic vesicles encapsulate all key ingredients and directly deliver to the layers of skin where they can have the most visible impact and improve absorption,” reads the brand’s very-scientific explanation. Basically, the products deliver peptides through the skin’s barrier to target its actual structure. It’s huge “it’s what’s on the inside that counts” energy—an iconic approach for an appearance-improving product that proves you really can have it all.

The Fomula
Clinically proven to improve dark circles, puffiness, redness, lines, and wrinkles (some even saw fuller and longer lashes!), the multi-benefit serum was formulated to visibly lift, smooth, hydrate and brighten the eye area.
To do this, the product utilizes a proprietary HA+ complex and firming and depuffing “intides,” or intelligent peptides. The HA+ complex features a blend of various-weight hyaluronic acids and ingredients that support the skin’s ability to produce its own hyaluronic acid, while the intides stimulate elastin and collagen production.
Other ingredients include jasmine and hawthorne flower extracts to combat dark circles and lift the upper eyelids, and stabilized vitamin C and niacinamide for brightening.

How to Use It
Morning and night, apply one pump (it really goes a long way) to your under-eyes, upper eyelids, and brow bone after cleansing your skin. Then, softly pat the product in with your fingertips.
Note: My best friend’s mom once taught me that it’s ideal to use your middle fingers for the patting part—and derms agree. They feel particularly gentle.
My Review
Before I can offer my humble opinion, I have a humble-braggy caveat. I’m only 26 years old and—despite my filler window shopping—an eye lift is not top of mind as of yet. Nevertheless, I do spend way more than a healthy amount of time staring at screens every day. While I do prioritize sleep, my eye bags can often rival the best of them and the smile lines are slowly but surely sneaking in.
Upon first application, I noticed a little… tingling. That, however, is where my complaints stop. After six-ish weeks of continuous use, I can absolutely say there’s a positive difference in my dark circles and puffiness. The wrinkles have also stayed away, which I probably owe more to my mid-twenties than Ourself… but you never know! I did see two of my childhood friends get married the other week, and that can age you.

I was immediately enamored by how the product felt on my skin. Unlike the heavy eye creams I’m used to (and still love!), the lightweight serum sunk right into my skin and left it looking bouncy. After a couple weeks, I noticed a difference in crepiness, with the area surrounding my eyes appearing smooth and bright.
The biggest tell? Applying the product after two days of international travel—one night of which was spent on a nine-hour bus ride—and looking good as new by the next morning (in the eye area, at least). Yes, I’m sure a decent night’s sleep helped, but I was on an air mattress, halfway across the world, and without my regular skincare routine. I’ll admit it: the rest of my face looked bad.
Ourself, please take the credit here. You, and a good glass of water.
